First-timers with the CFT

The crossfit total is a combination score of a backsquat, shoulder press and deadlift. Today was the first time a few of our Apex crossfitters were attempting these lifts with heavier weight. The CFT was not run strict allowing choice of 3 lifts for each exercise instead we had them complete multiple lifts and reps of each exercise working up towards a max lift of each. Each person got to experience the feeling of accomplishment lifting heavy weight as well as a taste of their mental strength stepping up to a fully loaded bar. Enjoy the pics!

Great job on your lifts today! It is great to see you so excited when you are able to lift such large amounts. You have now set the bar for the next time we do the CFT. See you all tomorrow.

Great work this morning! You guys did awesome, both physically and mentally. So happy to see such nice form for your first time with heavy lifts...must be those tight cores!!! Can't wait to do this again and see you compete against your totals today :O)
