Many of our Crossfitters come to APEX unable to do pull ups...
We are continuing to develop our kipping pull ups and are moving up the ladder quickly. We use different size bands that add assistance to those who need some help getting their chin to the bar. Molly (top) is using a red band which has a 1" thickness and Angie (middle) is using the blue band which has a 1.5" thickness. Mike Capi (bottom) came to us able to do a strict pull up however we have taught him to kip and he can now finish multiple pull ups before coming off of the bar. His WOD's have greatly improved because of his Kip. For those of you who say you will never be able to do a pull up these were some of those same people a few months ago. Keep practicing that Kip!
