Some very important information!
2011 CrossFit Games Sectionals Workouts at Apex - For all Apex athletes interested in competing in the Open for the up coming games, Apex will hold times on Saturday's at 8am and 11am starting March 19th. The 8am time will also be the normal group class for that Saturday and will only be open to Apex athletes. The 11am time slot will be open to other possible CrossFitters from the area as well as those of you from Apex. This will continue through the 6 weeks of workouts for Sectionals. Workouts will be posted on the CrossFit Games page each Tuesday. You must sign up now on the new CrossFit Games Website in order to compete at our sectional workouts. CrossFit Apex is the registered team name under which you will use when signing up. There is a one-time $10 registration fee to sign up your name at the CrossFit Games site. We will hopefully be able to qualify a team for regionals as well as have some individuals make their mark. Teams will consist of 3 men and 3 women! Come out and put all that hard work to the test.
2011 CrossFit Games (Philly Area Sectional Blog) - This blog will keep you up to date with each affiliate in the local area who will be hosting Sectional workouts. Each weekend a local affiliate will hold available hours for those who would are interested in competing for the Open Sectionals for 2011 CrossFit Games. Check this site weekly to find out more information on the affiliate running the sectionals workout.
Yoga - Saturday's starting this weekend March 12th Yoga will begin at 9:30am and continue on Saturdays to follow. Monday's will remain at 7pm.
Canceled classes - We no longer have Jr/Sr high workouts on Saturday mornings at 9am. If you plan on attending Saturday classes check with a trainer about availabilities.

If you are questioning it, what do you have to lose. Its only $10 and might get an opportunity to match yourself agains thousands of other people just like yourself. Surprise yourself and see how well you can do.

Just a HEADS UP, when you register as an athlete, be sure to click "join a team" our team name: Crossfit Apex. Once you join,(DON"T WORRY, IF NOTHING HAPPENS) it sends a request to me and I have to approve you as a member.

I just learned that I am considered a Master under this year's rules....hmmmmmm. If I could only do DU's or OHS.

I'm not a Master yet as I have not signed up. Unfortunately, I am old enough to qualify. My final decision will be made once I see the first wod. However, next year I am in and will compete as a master! Oh yea, add HSPU as something I can't do....yet.
I love all the excitement and energy...who else is on board....if you're even questioning the possibility...DO IT! It will be a fun time :)

Ok, so I signed up, but it won't let me join a team? When I click the button it doesn't do anything! Anyone else have that trouble?
That is a great little write up Dave. Thanks for sharing that with us. Erik did you read that? Dan J sign up what you got to lose, you have been doing great and can do all moves.
Angie, the same thing happen to me. It does not tell you that it went through however Keith has received your notice and will accept you only if he wants you to be part of the team. I will leave that up to him:)

Angie, You have to find the team first via the search Page, then click join team link on the teams page.

Thanks Dave-- that was the deal, had to go to the teams page to join. I was trying the "join team" option on the profile page, which seems like the thing to click, but obviously not.
I signed up as an individual. Then, after I was registered, sent a 'join team' invite request to Crossfit Apex through the website. That worked well. It may be simpler.

Loved....the article....yet I am still not registering. Maybe next year, when I finally get a pullup!. Luckily I still won't be old enough for "Master", but its not that far off. We have relatives who live in Pasadena.... who knows maybe a trip will be in order for some "Master" cheerleaders on the sidelines:)
