WEBSITE WILL BE CHANGING OVER THIS WEEKEND. SORRY FOR ANY INTERRUPTIONS.

Who's in for a Cleanse?

Ok, so the details are in! The morning crew has been talking about participating in a cleanse by "Standard Process"(SP). Standard Process is a whole food supplement brand who I love! The woman who will be our go to gal is willing to give us 2 different options. We can a personalized breakdown and recommendation of our supplements or she can give us the "standard protocol". Her fee is $20 for the personal breakdown of what you should be on. She is willing to be there for us through the 21 days if we run into any issues or have questions. Supplement costs could run from $160-$360 depending on what you need and how "toxic" your system is.

It will be great doing this together so that we can all help each other through the 21 days. On this cleanse you don't eat meat for the first 11 days. You can not eat nuts the entire 21. (just to give you a heads up!) You are eating a ton of veggies and some fruit, along with multiple SP whey shakes that you can load up with good fruits and veggies to make smoothies.

We need to come up with a date that works for her to come in and "test" us to be dosed out. I will find out if she is available Friday June 1st at 6:30pm or Saturday June 2nd at 9am.

If you do not wish to be tested and prefer to use the standard protocol amounts of supplements and vitamins for the cleanse than please still let me know. She will need to place the order for all of our cleanse products. I will let you know if she needs the money up front.
Please comment or email crossfitapex@yahoo.com if you wish to be a part of this cleanse, if you want to be personally dosed out, and if you can make either of the dates above.

Thanks! Let me know if you have any questions!

I am in!!! I can make either dates work. I would like to do it with the group, as I am going to want as much support (and recipes as possible:) Thanks for organizing!

I wouldn't mind doing it as well but I can't make either of those days. Heading to the shore...whoo hoo.

NOT in. But I will support my wife in any other way possible as she cleanses even if that means sleeping on the couch or temporarily taking the kids to a hotel so Mommy can adjust to not eating her happy foods.

I am in! Am I crazy? I don't know if I can do without my chocolate chip cookie dough luna bars or my dark chocolate raisinets.

Although I would love to look as ripped up as Dan J? Has anyone seen that guy with his shirt off. Will this cleanse do that for me:)

All in all I am in. Who else is jumping on board. Bussom family? Zim?

Erik, good for you for being supportive but do you know what would be even more supportive, doing it along side of her!

Cindy, no worries I may be able to have you go with with a few others to her house at some point to test. I'll let you know.

I will say I'm most nervous about feeding my little carnivore son the first 10 days and not being temped to pop a little piece of chicken or turkey in my mouth while cutting it up, it's such habit! But I'm sure I'll have my moment where I'll "pull a sharon" and realize what I've done a quick spit it out! :)

Let's get clean :)

I'm in. A little nervous. This is going to be stressful and I'm a stress eater. Ugh...

I Have done this cleanse twice and It will help cut lbs. quick but I highly recommend adding the SP whey to your complete shakes 4-5 times daily if your "crossfitting" the cleanse doesn't allow too many calories to support these workouts. I would seriously struggle to cleanse while working out like this.
I hope that helps, Josh

Thanks for the info Josh, good points, and just so you guys know we ARE doing the SP whey. That will be part of what you're tested for ,so you know how many shakes to drink daily. You will not be restricted to how much you eat, but you will have to work to eat enough of what you're allowed to eat to support your workouts. Save your fruit for post wods and stock up on coconut manna or coconut cream concentrate as a great fat and energy source without the sugar. Angie was on this while training for Regionals and was able to get through it. Everyone is different though so be smart and see how you feel after your wods and adjust when you eat before and after if need be.

Thanks again Josh for the insight!
