APEX Burpee Challenge
Started on Oct. 15th.....................................................................................Finish Date Jan. 21st

You may have seen this lingering on the CrossFit.com website, that is where we found this idea. On October 15 you will complete 1 burpee, October 16 - 2 burpees, October 17 - 3 burpees all the way until you reach 100 burpees on January 21st. You do not have to complete all the burpees in one sitting. You may complete your burpees throughout that day. YES, your burpees do count if you complete them in a WOD that day. YES, you still need to do your burpees even if you have a WOD that day. Best of Luck to all.

Please feel free to comment regularly on your current status and updates. Please send pictures or videos and we will post them to this blog. You can mail your pics or videos to crossfitapex@yahoo.com.

If you decide to join the challenge and we have already been underway you are more than welcome to join however you must complete all of your missed burpee days through that current day.

For example if you start on day 5 of the challenge you must complete day 4, 3, 2 and 1 in order to keep up with the challenge. Spread the word and get your family and friends to join in on the fun.

If you choose to string all of your burpees together in one sitting please feel free to post your time. You do know that we do things for time right?

Day 1 was tough. It took me approximately 3/4 of a second. Beat that Scrappy!

Did 6 in front of the dogs. They started doing their own version of a burpee with me. Will see how long they last.

Number 15 came within my Burpee Box Jump WOD. Still going strong. Angie I heard you joined into today. A perfect day to buy in with all the burpees already built into the WOD. best of luck along the way.

did my 21 today after a tough wod- Josh, i sure hope all the other wods until January all have burpees in them! this WOD + additional burpee thing is going to get tough! and it's getting harder to skip days and then buy in :-) might have to do them at work throughout the day :-)

Did my 22 after I complete 7 rds of 7 cleans and 7 pull ups. Not so fun. They are beginning to get tougher.

did 93 burpees to make up the last three days- this counts as my wod for me today-i think i'm getting sick and that's why my time sucked yesterday and today my body aches...going for some tea and a nap now :-)

I'm still doing burpees. They are so exciting, I don't know I don't share more often. Only get 15 in the WOD. I spread the rest out across the day.

Is anyone else out there? Some how or another I am hanging in there with the help of my wife. Multiple times I am ready to CAN the freakin things. Key is to get them out of the way early. IF you wait until 10pm at night let me tell you no drive!

i feel like a crossfit drop out- kinda hard doing it by yourself. i'm getting the hang of this night shift thing and new sleep schedule. i think i WOD maybe twice a week- i don't want to loose all that i have gained!

I don't know how I missed this part of the blog earlier. And...the video where Josh says that we will do 1 burpee on day one, 2..etc. all the way up to day 100 where we will do 100 burpees. What happened to you all? Molly, we will make it! Felice, Scrappy, what happened??????

I'm going to start using this as my personal blog, since I don't think anyone else is reading it anymore. Day 68. I cranked out 35this morning. the buggers were more difficult than usual after last nights Angie. It's Christmas Eve Eve. Will try to get in another 35 before festivities begin tonight.

Day 78. i am starting to do sets of 20 at a time now so that is making things more manageable.

I just tried 100 for time. I didn't time it exactly, but for a benchmark, I was happy it was around 10 minutes. 20 to start then 10s for the next 6 rounds. Then just did what it took for the rest.

Day 91. This is really fun. I am in the last 10 days! I would like to try 100 for time next Thursday.

Tried 100 for time again today with still around 10 minutes. I did 10 sets of 10 this time. Maybe shorter breaks...I would like to get at least under 10 minutes and maybe better than that. This is fun for me...especially when Eva is lounging on the couch counting for me.
