*Even if you can't make it for the whole day's festivities we hope you can plan to come out for some of the time!

Roman Banquet

Battle of the sexes winners, Men, will enjoy their choice of Paleo recipes served by our wonderful waitresses, Ladies, of Apex. We will use our Paleo Cook-Off recipes for the Roman Banquet.

Please comment below with a Paleo dish you will be able to prepare or a beverage will bring to share.  We would like to put together a menu for the banquet. (please read "paleo cook off below" to enter a category for your food if you are entering the contest)

Paleo Cook-OFF

Bring your favorite paleo dish to be shared and judged by your fellow athletes and cooks during the Roman Banquet
Enter in one of three categories:
Thanksgiving side dish
Dessert
Breakfast dish
Please bring copies of your recipe to share!

To make it Paleo Rx, please follow the following guidelines (Lurong standards): no sugar/sweetner (honey),
dairy, wheat, or legumes, (6oz of red wine is ok for those of you who make your own :)

If it is Paleo "Scaled", you can still bring it to share!

Halloween Party

Along with the Banquet and Paleo Cook-Off we would like keep the party rolling with some games and activities for the Halloween weekend (indoor volleyball and washers). Please feel free to bring your favorite seasonal beverage that may include pumpkin, spice, or brew in its name. Please invite family and friends to join us for the Halloween Party too!

Costumes are encouraged, we always get some great ones!

Are non-CrossFit spouses welcome to the cook-off?

What about kids?

My parents are coming out this weekend so I won't be able to make it...and I was really looking forward to having Larynn serve me my lunch. ;)

As for the banquet we'd like to keep that to Apex athletes only, we'll be eating some of the cookoff food as part of the "banquet". We'd love for family to come out and share in the food and festivities post banquet and they are more than welcome to join in the cook-off. The more people the merrier and the more food the yummier :)

A little confused.

The "banquet" is only for the athletes (which is when)?

Then, separate from the banquet is the paleo cook-off?

And family members are welcome to the post-banquet paleo cook-off, but not the banquet? If we are not entering the paleo contest, does the recipe need to be paleo? What time should family members come (after the banquet, before the cook-off / potluck)? Sorry, I'm really confused.

Members of Apex will be participating in the Roman Banquet however anyone is welcome to join in the party starting at 9:30. The paleo cook off food will be used for the banquet and as a taste tester food for anyone.

Anyone planning on bring side dishes please let us know thanks. See ya there.

One of the benefits of holding out a celebration or gathering such as this one is that, it unites everyone with the same interest and it pampers them once in a while. I also remember going to one of the long island banquet halls cause they are holding an event for the book lovers and I've seen and meet a lot of people in there. It was really fun and interesting.
